Conditioning & Flickerball
We will be having conditioning & flickerball on Tuesday & Thursday 6pm - 7pm July 27th, Aug 3rd, 5th, 10th, 12th at Amax Field. There is no charge. Come out and have some fun. Bring a water bottle. There will be no conditioning & flickerball on July 29th due to the coaching clinic. Thsi may change so keep watching.

Coaching Clinic Dates Set
Anyone wishing to be a coach in the CYFL for the 2010 Season must attend one of the coaching clinic and one training camp practice. Clinic will be either July 29th from 6-9pm or July 31st from 3-6pm. The clinic will be at the high school in the new media room. (Same as place as last year)
The training practice will be either date Aug 4th,5th or 6th from 6:15-8:30pm at the high school practice field. This will be practice time for the varsity squad. All you need to do is watch. If at the end you have any questions for any of the coach's, they will be happy to speak with you.

The board meeting time has changed to 3:30 on July 25th instead of 6pm

2010 Registration Fee
The CYFL is sorry to announce a fee change for the 2010 season. With the price of everything going up, we need to change also. The fee for the CYFL has been $95 for 10 yeas plus. The 2010 fee for the Jr & Sr Tackle will now be $100. Still a great value and you still keep the game jersey at the end of the season. (Flag remains $75) Also, the CYFL WILL NOT supply the pants or 7 piece pad sets for the pants this year. Due to all the rain and mud, we had to throw away many pair of pants due to them being bleached, which they were not supposed to be bleached but had to be done understandably. The CYFL has worked out a deal with a local vendor to were parents may purchase white pants with the pad sets and belt sewn into the pants at registration. The cost of the pants will be about $20. You will keep these pants at the end of the season. Pants in the CYFL must be white. We will have these pants during registration. You may purchase your pants elsewhere but the cost will be much higher. If you purchase them somewhere else they must be white. These pants are a great quality pant from Champ Pro and with the pads sewn in, you will not have to disassemble them for laundry. Wow! We will still supply the game pants for the flag league and you will turn them in at the end of the season. (no change for flag)

New Rule Change Jr. Tackle
The 2010 season will see a rule change for Jr. Tackle. This change will be for a P.A.T. Every team will have the option to either run as usual for the extra point or may choose to try an extra 2 point kick as usual. The extra point kick will be a dead ball attempt. If the ball is fumbled in any way, the play is dead and the extra point attempt is no good.

2010 Camp
What a great time our young campers had at football camp this week. We had approx. 125 campers from grades 1st - 6th. Some were missing Thursday for the picture. The week was a little stormy, and we did have a couple days that we had to move camp inside but everything turned out great and the campers had fun.
